My First Reiki Experience

Earlier today I was sharing with a friend about the first time I received Reiki & instantly wanted to know where I could go to learn more...then I attended my first Reiki share, fell in love with giving and receiving healing energy....that totally changed my life....that led me to offer Reiki shares & classes! 

It's amazing to think it has been many Reiki shares and years since that first one in 2003!

My First Reiki Experience

I was at a friends healing center laying under a table, not your ordinary table mind you...a crystal table...big huge clusters of crystals shining in the summers warm sunlight dazzling my eyes with their beauty on the underside of this table.... when someones voice drifted into my consciousness offering to give me a Reiki treatment....Reiki??....I had no idea what that meant, I just knew that I loved this table and could lay under it forever looking at those crystals... the woman said it was much easier to show me than to explain what it was. So, I reluctantly pulled myself from under the table to then joyfully lay on top of that table (as she indicated I should lay down on it) because it had slices of Angelite crystals and precious gemstones embedded into the table and energy was radiating all around it. 

This woman, whose face I cannot recall to this day what it looks like...asked me if it was alright to touch me with laying her hands on my body respecting my sacred areas...sure I replied...then I felt different sensations flood over my body as she put her cool hands over my eyes and on my face which instantly changed to warm soothing energy. As she continued placing her hands on different parts of my body I kept thinking...how many hands does she have because I swear I felt her hands in one place, then multiple areas at the same time but felt sensations elsewhere. The sensations were truly amazing...some felt like tingles, warmth, coolness or bubbles and it gave me the feeling like I was floating in the energy. 
So imagine my amazement when she said she was done because I had been blissfully enjoying this session. Then I tried to get off the table but my body felt heavy like I needed a spatula to get me up!

Wow! What an experience! After the treatment was finished I instantly asked where I could find out and learn more about Reiki. I was hooked!

So began my journey out of corporate America and into soloprenuership... and if you had asked me back then would I be teaching Reiki and holding Reiki shares I would have looked at you like you were nuts!

You never know what will come into your life if you are willing to try something new....or how it will take you 180 degrees in a whole new direction!
